wrist wear

watches aren’t getting the love they deserve. don’t you know? they are the unsung heroes of the accessory world. if your timepiece is still just functioning as a way to get you to carpool on time, i’m here to advocate.

watches add a lot of oomph to an outfit with zero prep and not much thought. throw one on that speaks to your personality or mood, and like magic, your look becomes more finished and surprisingly polished. it’s worth it to start collecting. i have several in constant rotation that i wear alone or paired with bangles, and between them, they work with everything.

start with a metal you love (gold, rose gold, stainless, etc.) or a leather band in a fun color like hot pink, red or grass green. use your watch like you would a scarf or statement earrings; it's a third piece that sets your look apart from those who just don't know. watches are impactful, and if done well, they can elevate an otherwise uninspired outfit. ask the boys; they'll tell ya.

i love this one as a go-with-anything-anywhere statement.

this chunky gold watch will not go unnoticed. you could wear it alone or stacked with bangles. this one is no-fail. by michael kors. get it at nordstrom here.

this one works as a low-key neutral. i'd pair it with something more feminine like a print or floral dress to offset the rugged, preppy vibe.

the timex brand is an old school classic. this one is designed for men, but so what. i think watches on the larger side are way better; they catch the eye. dainty watches with small faces are just not modern. by timex. get it here.

is there a watch suggestion list that wouldn't include this classic? not from me.

and this one is for your cheeky, girly side. last season it came in pink which i should have snapped up, but i like this cappuccino color, too.
