this is a small chat about big jewelry. i want to give it to you straight about why statement jewelry pieces are the way to go. which is not to say that i don't like the femininity of dainty necklaces layered on, or a fun, thin stack of rings on a chosen finger. but...a single statement piece of jewelry can set-off and support an entire outfit. in fact, one of my go-to style recipes (post pending) is to pair my basics with interesting, colorful, detailed jewelry for undeniable impact. it's the same approach i use for interiors - foundation pieces in classic shapes and neutral colors (for sofas, area rugs, headboards) made strong by bold printed throw pillows, graphic wallpaper and brightly upholstered side chairs. i just think it makes more sense to have tons of basics that can be elevated by a curated collection of special treasures.
