if you haven't already found something special for the dads in your life, here is a quick hit list to keep you in good standing for sunday.
he'll be happy to unwrap one of the picks from below and get loved on by his people. take a look.
everyday i pack a lunch for my daughter. it's one of those super annoying parenting tasks that i try to do with love. starting monday, i will be sending the husband off with something, too. he gets so busy at work, i bet he doesn't even realize that by the afternoon he hasn't had any water. done. another incredible feat solved by the wife.
some dads are wearing really bad jeans. if your father or husband or boyfriend or bff needs saving in this way, i think it's a good time to act. i'm suggesting selvedge denim for all. dark wash (can't go wrong with that), initially kind of stiff, but really durable and ensures a custom fit.
what about a thoughtful piece of art? it could be a special family photo that you've been meaning to print, the kids' artwork, or something that speaks to his childhood - like a framed map of the city where he's from. i think this poster would be an excellent choice.
it may not be very original, but men need good quality wallets. if your guy is still pulling out the billfold (or belt, or gasp, shoes) he got from costco that day, it's time to upgrade him.
because i'm one of those people that often gives a silly card with a sentimental one, these vouchers made the list. he'll think it's goofy, but it will make him laugh and it's the perfect companion gift to something useful or needed. soon enough he'll be using the ones that say "big juicy kiss" and "end to argument."
this would be so good on his desk. a refreshing piece of technology that isn't so sterile looking; one might even say "vintage modern." and yes, it works with your existing devices.
no man you know should be excused from wearing broken down socks. faded socks and those that are pilling (read: fuzz balls) need to be promptly kicked out of the top drawer and replaced. socks aren't meant to last a lifetime, and there are some really fun ones to be had.
and may i say...thank you! i know the moms get all the publicity, but we want you to know that you are needed and you are valuable. you have so many gifts to offer and we know it.
happy father's day.
